The Samsung INR21700‑50E is a high-capacity rechargeable lithium‑ion cell, designed primarily for applications where long runtime is more important than high power output. It has a nominal voltage of 3.6 V and a typical capacity of around 4900 mAh, making it one of the higher-capacity cells available in this form factor. This equates to roughly 17–18 watt-hours of energy per cell, which is why it is commonly used in battery packs for electric vehicles, e‑bikes, energy storage systems, and other devices that benefit from extended operating time.

Chemically, the 50E uses a lithium nickel manganese cobalt oxide (NMC) composition, offering a good balance of energy density, safety, and cycle life. With a continuous discharge rating of just under 10 amps.
