10.8V 285.6AH 3S84P Lithium Ion Battery Pack (PELI1500)

The Li-ON ESS APEX 1500 is the largest capacity model in AceOn’s APEX range. It holds 285.6Ah, a little over 3kWh, in a sealed PELI 1500 case. It’s for the jobs where a battery has to be left on site and trusted to keep going.

What’s inside?

The pack contains 252 lithium-ion cells in a 3S84P arrangement, giving 10.8V nominal (12V class) and roughly 3,084Wh of stored energy. As a rough guide, a device drawing a steady 1A could in theory run for close to 285 hours from a single charge, almost 12 days. The real figure depends on your load and conditions.

How portable is it?

The complete unit weighs 16.4kg and measures 471 × 357 × 175 mm. That’s light enough for one person to carry by the handle. An equivalent lead-acid bank would take a team and a trolley to move.

Will it cope with the conditions?

Yes. The PELI 1500 case is weather resistant and built to take knocks, and the pack is rated to operate from -20°C to +60°C.

How do I use and monitor it?

• Check the charge: press the front-panel button and the digital voltmeter lights up with the current voltage.
• Connect: power comes from a locking Amphenol output socket rated at 14A.
• Stay protected: an internal fuse protects the pack and your equipment.
• Recharge: standard charging.

What is it used for?

It’s ideal for remote applications in arduous environments. Typical examples are environmental and structural monitoring, off-grid CCTV and security, telemetry and comms relays, survey and scientific kit, and site lighting.
